'a voice, not an echo'
Formed in 1981 by Wilf Hall, Gamma Photo Forum brings together a small group of accomplished and respected northern-based photographers.
We exist to stimulate, challenge and support each other through our own personal photographic journey. To that extent we have a wide ranging programme of speakers who spend an entire day with members. This allows greater depth of conversation, and the exploration of the subject matter beyond a simple presentation. Members themselves also show their own work, often their latest images and projects to stimulate interaction and learning.
Individual members typically enter their work in competitive salons, but as a group we are non-competitive. Since membership is by invitation there is no need ‘earn your spurs’. You are amongst friends and colleagues. As a club we prepare and display images in a number of settings, both digital and print.
